Kassiopi is a lovely fishing village on the northeast coast of Corfu, about 5 kilometers from Agios Stefanos. Although the village has grown significantly over the past thirty years, the beautiful harbour and the village square remain largely unchanged. Kassiopi has something for everyone: a fine selection of beaches, plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and boats. Here the old sits comfortably side by side with the new and while you relax in the port you can enjoy the view of its Byzantine Fortress, the rugged coast of Albania and the comings and goings of fishing vessels.
Avlaki Beach (1,5 km from Agios Stefanos) is located between the villages of Agios Stefanos and Kassiopi. Avlaki is a beautiful sweeping bay with a gently sloping beach and fabulously clear turquoise waters. The beach has sunbeds and few taverns with delicious local food. In the afternoon, a northern sea breeze enters the beach, swipping the heat away from it.
Kerasia (1,5 km from Agios Stefanos) is one of the most picturesque and beautiful beaches of Corfu. It combines the crystal clear waters, the idyllic lush green landscape and the stunning coves. The small pebbled beach that lies around the crystalline bay offers some loungers and umbrellas and a perfect view to the Albanian coasts.
Kalami bay is set nestling below the North East Corfu hills and famous for the tavernas and the beautiful beach. Fine shingle beach provides clear waters ideal for swimming.
The view of the harbour is probably one of the most painted in the area. Kouloura is an excellent example of a small traditional Greek bay that has not been adversely effected by tourism. At the other end of the bay there is a small beach.
The petite bay consists of shiny pebbles and a few patches of sand. There are three decent taverns that are open only during the summer season and offer breathtaking views to the Albanian coasts. Wild vegetation and pebbles encircle the beach. The beach slopes profoundly into the sea and there are numerous jagged submerged rocks that make it out of bounds to children.
